Melanie Lixiyun Yan
Melanie Lixiyue Yan (She/They) is a Takoronto-based queer Illustrator/Zine Artist. Melanie is currently enrolled in OCAD University's Digital Futures Graduate Program, exploring designing technological mediations for Asian diasporic queer and feminist narratives. Melanie aims to create resonance and perhaps also bring some impact through her works.
Ro Bwanga
Representing the intersection of analysis and creativity, the work of multidisciplinary artist Ro combines scientific understanding with artistic expression. Originally planning on becoming a botanist, her art making process involves contemplating biological theories and using them as metaphors for intangible concepts. Ro is currently pursuing an MFA in OCAD U's Interdisciplinary Master's in Art, Media and Design program. When she is not wandering around the forest, you can usually find Ro tending to a collection of unfinished sketchbooks.
Samantha Moffatt-Sanz
Samantha Moffatt-Sanz is a mixed-media visual artist & curator currently residing in Toronto, Tkaronto, after spending 4 years in Montreal, Tiohtià:ke. Having completed her BFA in in Art History & Studio Arts at Concordia University, she is now pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts in Criticism & Curatorial Practices at OCAD University. Her work is a mix of film and digital photography, mixed-media paintings, and 3-dimensional works, that range from representational and realistic to abstract and emotional with a focus on the exploration of medium and personal fulfillment throughout the creation process. Her curatorial work is focused on reciprocity. She has been featured in various art competitions in Toronto and Montreal, and published in the Branksome Hall Arts and Literary Magazine: Perennial as well as the SAAG 2024 Arts Writing Reader, Southern Alberta Art Gallery Maansiksikaitsitapiitsinikssin. Samantha is an active member of the arts communities in Toronto and Montreal. Having been a volunteer at the Luminato Festival of Arts in Toronto, working with Caldwell Securities Ltd., the Junior and Senior Arts editor of Perennial, a Juror for Concordia’s VAV Gallery, a member of the Board of Directors for the 2022-23 Art Matters Festival, a Radio DJ and show host at CJLO 1690AM, a vendor at various Art Markets in Toronto & Montreal and the VP of Events for Concordi’art.
Sherry Lin
Sherry Y. Lin is a graphic designer and musician based in Toronto. Her multimedia practice explores new design possibilities by combining music, poetry and linguistics. Through this integration, she aims to demonstrate positivity and brightness, offering a fresh perspective in the field of visual communication.
Niloofar Sanandaji
Niloofar Sanandaji is a multidisciplinary artist and creative technologist whose works explore concepts of consciousness, memory, and resilience within the post-human context.
She is an award-winning, graduated designer from Digital Futures at OCAD University, currently pursuing her Master of Design at OCAD University, where she is an educator and researcher.
Her practices expand from designing immersive, interactive audio-visual experiences to wearable electronics interfaces to bio arts.
